Team 1 Google challenge: Looking for client

As soon as the line up was fixed, our aim was to seek client for the school. For that, we had to build a small communication strategy about our school Hetic and the Google challenge. Each team member updated their profile on social network and all communication channels. After this step, we received some good answers and contacts. The team focused on network: training period supervisors, clients, forums, everything we could. We explained the concept at several clients, some of them were highly interested or not… even if the challenge is totally free.
Finally we found 6 potentials clients. But, most of clients were already in business with Adwords and there were few survivors. The task before will not be easy because we analyze that client’s web site are not correctly optimized and there is a lot of work to do for the campaign, especially on landing pages and formularys.

Team 5 Google challenge: This is it, let’s go !

This is it.

Since we were told that we had to find an announcer, weeks have gone fast. Really fast. We no longer count how many websites we have seen. And the ideal contestants are, on the other hand, needles in the Internet haystack.

It’s not that small and medium-sized enterprises or little associations who aren’t using Adwords are missing. But the market they’re on must also be expanding to allow a pertinent campaign, not to mention that the announcer also must be interested in the aforementioned campaign.

Regarding these measures, the team have finally made a choice a few days ago. Our contestant ? www.neko-shop.com , Neko Wear’s online shop (« The first brand to come from the manga culture »).

So, here we are : the Google Online Marketing Challenge 2009, let’s do it.

Team 12 Google challenge: Nothing better than an enthusiastic client

It wasn’t difficult for us to find an advertiser for the GOC. Indeed, we were lucky to know a DVD seller on internet.

He was happy to benefit of a 200$-free advertising campaign, so he accepted quite quickly.

The opportunity to discover stuffs about Adwords programs, and to receive precious advices convinced him all the more

Team 2 Google challenge: The success starts with the right client

The opportunity to work with a real client is probably the most interesting part of the Google Challenge. It brings us the chance to acquire a true experience in the marketing field and to compete with professionals thanks to the $200 provided by Google.

Choosing the right client is essential for the success of our campaign and for the motivation of all the team.  We contacted many websites and finally selected five that were in accordance with the requirements of the challenge. Then, we arranged a meeting in order to select the one that will share this adventure with us. The choice goes to Total Manga. All the members of the team were seduced by the theme, the values and the content of the website, so we all start the Google Online Marketing Challenge with the same enthusiasm!

Team 4 Google challenge: A new version of a website makes a really welcomed campaign

Finding an advertiser for the challenge happened to be harder than what we thought. We first tried to find someone by asking our personal and professional networks. Then we published calls on Facebook and Twitter, asking people to spread the word. The few people who answered didn’t match our criteria. We wanted a pure-player advertiser who would be 100% involved in the challenge. A business we could really help with this opportunity. That’s why we refused some proposals.

We finally chose OpenToJob.com, a website dedicated to salaried who want to evaluate the business they work for. The service is also made for CEOs and HR managers who want to promote their business and discuss with current and future employees. Business model is a premium account for businesses. New OpenToJob website, built by an HETIC team, is about to go live so the challenge is really welcomed by both the owners and our GOMC team.
