Team 11 Google Challenge: the research

Our research of an advertiser was complicated. 2 advertisers withdrawn before we found this one. The first one was about the retro-gaming who sells mooks via his web site and some exhibitions. Also, he was really exited about the challenge but unfortunately he couldn’t give us the codes to install the tracking.

The second one was a little shop of decoration in Paris. She was exited too but, this time, the platform where is her blog does not give any access to us so the tracking couldn’t be put on, again.

Finally, our last advertiser was found by a member of the team. We checked his website to be sure and do not get problems again and everything had been validated really quickly to start the campaign.

Equipe 2 Google Challenge: Strategy

Our client, Total Manga, is a content-based website written in French which deals with mangas and Japan culture. Because of this context and the limited budget, we will only target French language and specially France. Due to the budget limitation and with the assist of the analytics data, we will put our campaigns on when there is high organic traffic and to turn it off the rest of the day.

About our campaigns and the AdWords strategy, we were inspired by the structure of the web site and we adapted this one into a logical organization keeping in mind the particular goal and settings of each campaign and grouping similar keywords together. We will particularly focus on two parts of the site : “Mangas”, the most successful section and “Japan”, which is a section dedicated to the Japanese culture. This section makes the difference between Total Manga and its rivals. We will launch our keywords with high bids and we will gradually lower the bid maintaining a top 3 ad position. To achieve a good click through rate, we will set up rotate ad serving and constantly improve the ad texts through A/B testing.

To assess our goals, we matched our budget with the estimated CPC and the estimated traffic given by the Keyword Tool. As a result we plan to reach 10 000 impressions, 400 clicks, a global CTR of 4% and a CPC max of a $0,50 in three weeks. Our Key Performance Indicators will be the number of signs up to the forum and to the newsletter, the average time spent on site and the bounce rate.

Team 16 Google challenge: conclusion

This campaign allowed us to have a real-life marketing experience which was very beneficial for us.

Indeed it made it possible for us to put our knowledge into practice and to acquire some more during the Hetic cursus and of course learn a lot on the AdWords tool and its power.

Thanks to the GOMC, we have had the possibility to go further into referring systems.

Furthermore, it made possible for us to to aprehend google analytics, a very performant web analytics tool, and to learn to have goals of conversion to enhance our studies for future marketing campaigns. It also was a good opportunity to use the online Adwords tool which was unknown to us until then. It was very interesting because we will inevitably be using these tools again, they are so effective!

The explanation of our approach and online marketing knowledge concerning client relation and the explanation of the tools we used, brought a lot of pedagogical values to us. We haven’t encoutered any real problems with the client. But in the team, the levels were very different. The best taught the others about online marketing. A very profitable experience for everybody!

The GOMC helped our client to extend her visibility to all of France on internet.

We suggested her to continue doing AdWord campaigns regularly during big touristical periods in Marrakech. That would be in April, May and June. We also suggested her to regularly post articles on the blog to be referred better.

Team 1 Google Challenge: Comfort and ecology with wood houses

You heard a lot about it, we are interested. Ecology, environment, people are more and more aware about effort we have to do to keep our safe planet. Why not matching comfort, economy and estheticism to ecology and environment protection?
Our GOMC team will not give up with this challenge. Client that we choose is renting and sailing wood houses and chalets.
Fashion effect or not, the demand for wood houses is higher every year. Our client’s aim is to communicate about his business, his products and advise suggestion prices to fill In online. From kit houses to built houses, our client propose to build a safe and personal house.

Team 09 Google Challenge: France Biographie : your story in DVD

What is it ?

www.france-biographie.com is a company settled  in Région Centre (Loiret) which give the possibility to a large audience (companies or people) to create their own biography in the form of a book and a DVD in limited edition.

How does it proceed ?

Thanks to his experience, Marc Arnaud, the new company’s leader, gathers testimonies, duplicates original documents (photographies, stories, films, etc..) and realise a quality write.

Then, he transposes it into video to the client.

Marc Arnaud also realises old films’ duplicates and archives’ copies (all documents).
