Posted by Commaret Jérome | Filed under Adwords strategy
Our strategy is to start with high Max CPC to boost Quality Scores and get ranked in the top three positions to increase CTR. As long as CTR is rising, we can gradually reduce Max CPC while keeping our top ranks. This specifically results in achieving two goals : get a 3% CTR and a $0.50 average CPC.
As we also plan on a 3 % conversion rate, this campaign is successful will result in 400 incoming click generating 12 purchases for a global $1380 turnover and a 590% ROI.
Account organisation is composed in 2 campaigns, one for the brand name who is colibri-nurserie, and one focused on the main diaper caracteristics, this two campaign are duplicated for each other country we target ( Belgium and Switzerland ).

Now we have our client, so we can choose the right strategy. In a first time, we analyzed the website in order to understand his strengths. We also ask more information to the client about his activities.
From this point, we had chosen house sells online formulary as main goal for out adwords campaign.
In a second time, we notice than the website has lot information. When people want to buy a house, they are looking for a lot of information. Wood houses are more and trendier but information is still a weakness for people.
Our second goal is the average time on site. If people are well informed, they will probably come back to our client in order to buy products.
Finally, we divided our account in several campaigns included sells and information. Budget is higher for the two first weeks to have a high quality level. We will bring some optimizations to reduce our expenses and keep a high quality level.

Furthermore, keywords choice is endless. Do we have to use website’s name ? Can we use brands names ? Is it relevant to use generic keywords ? How to get the most of our budget ? Discussion remains open. We now understand why strategy initially defined is so crucial. But the main question is : which keywords are the most relevant ones considering advertiser’s goal ?
